The Solution Engineer (SE) Operations Manager drives engineer acceleration through high impact programs. The ideal candidate has a solution engineering and operations background with proven ability to strategize and implement high-level solutions and initiatives partnering with Executives. The key areas of responsibilities include focus on increasing SE productivity, streamlining processes, and building out strategic programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives

  • Lead and/or assist in the creation and roll-out of strategic programs to the field SE teams to drive key revenue, margin, and growth opportunities

  • Monitor operational performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvements

  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional leaders

  • Build out improved repeatable processes within Segments

  • Develop and streamline SE initiatives

  • Responsible to pinpoint areas for improvement in the SE cycle that can increase velocity and technical win

  • Operate as key business partner and liaison to Global SE Executives to develop organizational goals and manage progress through monthly, quarterly, and yearly business reviews

  • Collaborate with Global SE Executives to develop and execute SE management disciplines and processes (i.e. field territory assignment, QBRs, territory reviews and planning, SE assignments, quota/budget allocation)

  • Provide regular performance reporting (eg. productivity, efficiency, capacity utilization) in a timely and accurate manner to support critical business decisions

  • Define and calculate SE KPIs to ensure the process changes are driving impressive results

  • Manage and coordinate events ie. Growth Summit for SE Org by designing program flow, planning guest speakers, and event topics

Requirements

  • BA/BS in business administration, finance, engineering or related discipline

  • 8+ years solution/sales engineer and global operations experience

  • Need to understand the SE role, preferably collab/telephony and soft skills to work cross-functionally

  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills - proven ability to mine data for relevant and actionable insights

  • Experience with cross functional project execution, and continually driven to improve performance

  • Analytical and detail orientated with a drive for results

  • Open and collaborative, works as a team with professionalism

  • Impeccable organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate translate complex concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, and creating analysis for business scenarios that arent clearly defined upfront and require iterative problem solving approaches with client groups

  • Disciplined able to prioritize and work with rigor to high standards; able to follow process and produce quality deliverables

  • A strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced environment with sound business judgment and a focus on problem solving

  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability

  • Background in SaaS or a recurring customer subscription model company a plus

  • Experience using Salesforce.com, BI Tools, and Google Suite

  • Unquestionable ethics, integrity and business judgment
