Internal Posting Dates:# January 25, 2021 - January 29, 2021 Job Grade: 5 ($13.38 - $19.24) A Ward Clerk/Nursing Attendant assists in providing quality patient care by enhancing clerical support services and facilitating communication among health care providers, in an emergency care setting, as delegated and supervised by a Registered Nurse. Responsible for managing patient records, inventory management, implementing specific procedures and programs, coordinating work within and among other departments, reporting pertinent information to immediate supervisor, responding to inquiries or requests for information, and assisting immediate supervisor with tasks which support departmental operations. Ward Clerk/Nursing Attendant may be required to float to other departments as directed by management, depending on operational needs. Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent and proficient computer skills.# Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.# Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security.# Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies.# Knowledge of providing individualized attention and patient care through assisting with daily routine activities.# Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities.# Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the documentation of information.# Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.# Providing care which maintains patient#s skin integrity.# Providing assistance with reception / clerical duties.# Proficient computer skills.# Ability to perform order transcription and manage patient records.# Performing various intervention tasks assigned by the charge nurse.# Ability to lift, move, and transport patients safely.# Acknowledging changes in a patient#s condition or behavior, and promptly reporting these changes to appropriate license nursing personnel.# BLS certification required. Minimum of six months prior nursing assistant experience in a long-term care setting preferred. #
