Your Primary Responsibilities: The purpose of the Counterparty Credit Risk ("CCR") team is to identify, rate, and monitor the credit risk of member and participant firms, repurchase agreement counterparties, depository banks, money market counterparties, Line of Credit Providers, and critical vendors. The Counterparty Credit Risk team is primarily responsible for assessing the financial stability of DTCC's member firms by interpreting financial statements of banks, broker-dealers, and other financial firms. The analyst is responsible for assisting a team of credit analysts with the monitoring and ongoing surveillance of a portfolio of member firms. The analyst is also tasked with the maintenance of files and the gathering of information, as well as developing as a credit analyst. The Analyst (entry-level) of Counterparty Credit Risk is responsible for working with and assisting a Senior Associate with all processes regarding the management and assessment of the creditworthiness of a portfolio consisting of banks, broker-dealers, and other financial institutions. Analyze and spread financial statements to identify credit risks and mitigants, and to assess trends in financial institutions' (e.g., banks, broker-dealers, trusts, central securities depositories, etc.) capital adequacy, profitability, asset quality, and liquidity/funding management. Assist Senior analyst with completing annual reviews and ongoing surveillance of member firms across clearing corporations, to assess the creditworthiness of member firms. Reach out and follow-up with Member firms regarding information requests and responses. Assist Senior analyst with the Credit Risk Rating Model (rating changes and qualitative factors). Work with internal departments, including Market Risk, Product Management, Relationship Management, Legal, and Compliance, to maintain transparency when assessing potential risk exposures within member firms. Provide written drafts for Monitoring and Surveillance items (negative news, parameter breaks and market indicators). Take internal and/or external trainings to enhance credit analysis skills Responsible for credit administrative tasks such as saving and maintaining files, gathering documents for the team and taking notes, etc). Complete regulatory searches (MIS, FDIC and CRD broker-check, etc.) on Member firms. Demonstrate regulatory awareness and compliance and ensure adherence to risk-related policies and best practices. Complete Ad-hoc projects as assigned. Ensure compliance with CCR's policies and procedures. NOTE: Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. Talents Needed for Success: 0-1 years of experience in credit risk with experience in financial statement analysis and the understanding of a broad range of financial products. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Financial statement analysis (prior work experience or coursework) Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills Passion for credit analysis and the financial markets Self-starter who is detail oriented and can prioritize responsibilities to meet tight deadlines Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a dynamic environment Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (Strong academic record with courses in financial analysis and financial markets preferred).
