Job Description

We are seeking a Supervisor of Content Production on the English language Content Producer Team. The Supervisor of Content Production is responsible for managing a team of producers, producing course content, developing team skills, and ensuring the instructional quality of coursework for their team. This position will be based in the Carpinteria, California office.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Content Producers in the English language libraries.
  • Produce content for LinkedIn Learning.
  • Ensure the overall instructional quality and effectiveness of coursework.
  • Drive 1:1 and team meetings.
  • Review team content and provide individuals with ongoing open, honest, and constructive feedback to continually improve courses, the production process, and grow their skills.
  • Perform and oversee all functions of staff management of Content Producers, such as hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, developing, and assessing performance.
  • Work closely with other Content Production managers to improve workflows and resolve issues across the group.
  • Act as a logistical and creative connection between relevant Managers of Content, producer teams, post-production teams, and Content Managers.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across other Content teams
  • Assign courses to team members based on production goals and business needs.
  • Ensure that team hours and capacity are tracked and that workloads meet business needs while supporting a healthy work-life balance for team members.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.


    Basic qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience developing and delivering educational content.
  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a product development cycle.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience, or 6+ months supervisory experience and 1+ years of experience with LinkedIn Learning content

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in onboarding, training, coaching, and leading team meetings in an organization
  • Experience in assessing performance, giving feedback and delivering performance reviews to direct reports
  • Experience in project management and leading/driving business initiatives
  • Excellent software skills and experience with both Mac, Windows, and Google Apps environments
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while organizing and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to apply instructional design principles, learning theory, and educational technologies in the design and development of online learning experiences
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
